Q6770010: I get a generic SNMP error on monitoring my DHCP server. What's wrong? Monitoring Windows based DHCP server is based on SNMP. You need your SNMP service to be running on your DHCP server. Unfortunately, Microsoft stops supporting the facility to monitor DHCP server through SNMP (and WMI) for the most recent server operating systems and most recent patch levels. There's a lot of information, questions and complaints on that on the internet. Read more on this in the article SNMP OID to get DHCP scopes on the Microsoft web site.
