Q1260010: Is there any way I set the timeout that is used with the 'Connect' function? It is not possible through Network Component. Network Component makes use of the IP layers of the Operating System. Connection time-out properties can be modified, but only system-wide, by changing the local system registry through the following registry hive: 'HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters' For instance, set the 'TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions' entry to change the number of connection retries.
